"The best time of my life": Lisa Riley breaks into tears after being voted off Strictly Come Dancing

Lisa Riley broke down in tears after being voted off Strictly Come Dancing as she failed to reach the final.

She’s been one of the most entertaining contestants in the show’s history but it wasn’t enough to save her from elimination.

The former Emmerdale actress is the tenth celebrity to leave the dancing competition and misses out on a place in next week’s grand final after losing the dance-off to Denise Van Outen.

Even though Denise was saved, the former-favourite will be worried after finishing in the bottom two for the second week running despite getting an impressively high score from the judges.  

They performed their highest scoring routines in the head-to-head.

Lisa and partner Robin Windsor danced the American smooth to All That Jazz from the musical Chicago, while Denise and James Jordan dancing the tango to Roxanne by The Police.

They both received standing ovations from the audience before the judges got involved and delivered their verdict.

Craig Revel Horwood chose to save Denise "purely based on technique,” while Darcey Bussell agreed, adding: "This is so hard but yes, technically, the ones I'm going to save are Denise and James."

Bruno said: "First I have to say you've both done so well to come this far, great dancing, great entertainment but I have to go for the best dance and that was delivered by Denise and James."

The result leaves Denuse, gymnast Louis Smith, Girl Aloud star Kimberley Walsh and actress Dani Harmer as the celebrities battling it out for the glitterball trophy in Saturday's final.

It was a bit emotional when the cameras showed Lisa In tears as she received a standing ovation from the judges and the studio audience.

"It's been the best time of my entire life, I can't thank you enough," she said.

"From the costume to the makeup, everybody backstage is just beyond belief, and all the judges, I've had the time of my life.

"And one person has made that and that's Robin Windsor. He has just been amazing.

 

"What you don't all know is having me as a partner is a really, really tough ask and every week, week in week out he's done it...and he's helped me through one of the toughest times of my life.

“I owe every inch of Strictly to him, he's just amazing."

Fighting back tears, Robin said: "I just want to say from day one this whole experience this year has been absolutely amazing, and Lisa has come out and shown you don't have to be a certain size to dance, and she's inspired so many people around the country.

"She is one of the loveliest, nicest people I've ever met."

For all of you dancing fans, the Strictly Come Dancing final will be shown on BBC One on Saturday at 7pm, with the results show at 9.10pm.

Sonakshi excited to taste 'Namak' with Shahid

 

Actress Sonakshi Sinha says viewers should look forward to a lot of dance in Namak, given Prabhudheva and Shahid Kapoor's association with it.

"We are starting Namak in February. (I'm) looking forward to it and of course since we have Prabhudheva and Shahid in the film, there is going to be a lot of dance in the film," said Sonakshi.

"I am completely happy because I love dancing and it will be completely a masala film. I don't think you can expect anything less from Prabhudheva," she added.

Sonakshi has had a brush with Prabhudheva's style of working in Rowdy Rathore, which did well at the box office. Sonakshi also did an item number with the actor-choreographer-filmmaker in OMG: Oh My God!.

Ask if she is learning any new dance form for Namak, she said: "Not new kind of dance, but once we start shooting I am sure Prabhu will make up something new and make us do that."

Bad news, girls – Harry Styles really is head-over-heels in love with Taylor Swift, reckons his best mate Nick Grimshaw.

The Radio 1 breakfast DJ has spent time with the loved-up pair and thinks the One Direction hottie, 18, has found The One.

I caught up with Grimmy, 28, at the lavish afterparty for the Spice Girls musical, Viva Forever, in central London.

He told me: “Harry really likes Taylor, he’s fallen for her in a big way.

“At first I wasn’t sure if the relationship was a real one but I talk to him a lot and it seems to be that she’s the one – for now, anyway.”

Grimmy met US country star Taylor when she was a guest on his breakfast show in October, and he has given the romance his seal of approval.

He told me: “American artists are usually really, really boring and reserved but Taylor is fun. She’s always up for a laugh and is really good company.

“Harry likes people who make him laugh. I talk to Harry a lot on the phone while he’s away touring and he talks about her a lot. He is very happy with her.

“I like her a lot too, she came on my show recently and we had a really fun time.”

Harry and Taylor first met in America in April when Harry was touring with One Direction.

Afterwards, they flew back to the UK together where they have been spending their time together since.

On Friday he treated her to 23 cupcakes as they celebrated her 23rd birthday in his home town of Holmes Chapel, Cheshire.

Last week Harry took We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together singer Taylor to meet his mum Anne after a meal at a country pub in the Peak District.

And on Wednesday the romantic pair were seen feeding doves and swans together at a Lake District beauty spot.

Big-hearted Harry only took time out to visit a shocked houseful of students.

The four teenagers were over the moon when he popped in on his way home from a party.Harry is a friend of one of the girls who lives there. One, Rosie Perkins wrote: “Harry Styles was actually in my flat last night OMG big lols.”

Harry and Nick became friends earlier this year when the singer bought a house near the DJ’s home in north London.

Grimmy said Harry often pops round to his house – but his female visitors get furious if he hasn’t warned them the heart-throb will be there.

He said: “If my female friends turn up with no make up they think they’ve missed an opportunity.”

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are reportedly expecting their first child together - just months after the couple were torn apart by a cheating scandal involving the actress and her married Snow White director Rupert Sanders.

According to OK! Magazine, the couple has their first baby on the way, following their reconciliation in September.

The magazine reports that the pair are already planning a "lavish nursery" for the child, and want to raise it in England.

It also alleges that Kristen is "begging" Robert to marry her before the baby is born.

Robert walked out of the couple's Hollywood home in June after pictures emerged of Kristen cheating on him with film director Rupert Saunders, 41.

But just a few months later, Robert and Kristen were together again.

Kristen Stewart was dealt a hefty blow the other night when she appeared on the Late Late Show, when the presenter - Craig Fergusson - revealed that he didn't like Twilight.

Which we thought was actually against the law in 45 states of America, but whatever.

Clearly taken aback and trying not to pass out with the shock of it all, Kristen stammered out a reply.

"Everyone loves Twilight..."

But as the news began to sink in, Kristen obviously decided to acknowledge that that's not necessarily the case.

After all, we're pretty sure that Liberty Ross doesn't like Twilight either.

"Dude, I...I'm sorry...I think you can count yourself in a hefty group of people..." she reassured Craig.

"Dude, us and them. Love and hate...I'm into that. Not everybody is going to love one thing."

Which suggests she hasn't heard of James Arthur just yet.

Kristen, who was promoting her latest film - On The Road - also revealed that she attempted life uh, on the road, but only managed to get to Ohio.

Which isn't very far away.
